On this perfect early fall day at the Skaneateles wedding venue, The Skaneateles Country Club we celebrated the marriage of Kait & Kevin. For Kait & Kevin’s wedding ceremony and reception, I provided wedding DJ services as well as my “selfie Station” photo booth for guests to use during the reception. Our day started out with guests arriving to The Skaneateles Country Club for an outdoor ceremony taking place out on the pier of the club that jets out into Skaneateles Lake waters. I had already completed setting up wedding ceremony sound discreetly hidden behind all the arranged seats. Before taking my spot to run ceremony sound, I checked in with my wedding photographer Katie of Katie Conway Photography a Syracuse based wedding photographer to make sure she was set to start the ceremony music. Kait & Kevin’s ceremony was a lovely ceremony with the most beautiful floral décor surrounding the couple that was provided by Fleur De Lis a Skaneateles floral designer. After vows to each other, ring exchange and a kiss Kait and Kevin lead the wedding party out to start the beginning of cocktail hour.

Cocktail, Introductions & First Dance
As guests mingled, I provide the soundtrack for the cocktail hour with a wide mix of country, folk and pop music down on the lawn and docks of the country clubs reception area. As cocktail hour came to an end and guest made their way to their seats inside, I got Kait & Kevin staged to make their grand entrance into the reception. The reception room was so beautifully decorated with the Fleur De Lis floral and you could not miss the huge desert table with a beautiful cake in the middle that was all the work of Stacey, owner of The Cake Shop CNY. Once everyone was seated, I introduced Kait & Kevin into their reception and their guests where over the top excited as the newlyweds weaved through the crowd and made their way to the center of the dance floor area. After a quick welcoming and a few words from Kait and Kevin we transitioned right into their first dance as a married couple to “Diamonds or Twine” by Ryan Heard. Guest cheered as Kait and Kevin came to the end of their first dance and settled in at their sweetheart table and we heard our blessing before dinner courtesy of Kait’s grandfather Hank.
Dinner, Parent Dances & Dancing
After having a wonderful served meal from the Country Club we brought our attention back to the dance floor where Kait danced with her father for the father daughter dance song to “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor followed by Kevin dancing with his mother for the mother son dance to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. At the conclusion of both the parent dances I immediately opened up the dance floor playing a very wide mix of Motown oldies, pop and newer top 40 songs as can be heard in my Soundcloud Live Mix form the wedding. Guest filled the floor right up until the last song we all song along too which was “Closing Time” by Semisonic.
